“I believe that our sole responsibility is to reach out, uplift one another and lighten one another's burdens. If we are not doing this, then we are yet to start living. What a man owes his fellow is a transforming encounter.” – Ogwo David Emenike
Projects
Hope for Children and Families of the World, Inc. has several projects intended to alleviate the suffering and poverty in the communities that we serve. Our projects include:
- Providing scholarships to underprivileged children and help serve with their educational needs.
- We offer support groups for children and families all group ages who are grieving the death of a love one friends or someone they have a close relationship with.
- Our groups and rehabs are made possible by many volunteers, including psychology graduates and experienced pastors every first of each month.
- Our staff spends time with the orphans and parents to share their concern and their own experience of grief so they gain comfort and connection with people in similar situations.
- Our help and support are and will always be available to all the children and families in need.
- We are also working hard to acknowledge and support gifted children all over the country. We provide financial support and guide gifted children in Haiti to international career opportunities.
- Gifted children in Haiti are often neglected by the government and all other financial institutions. We are here to help and accompany each and every gifted child until a job opportunity.
- We are working hard to build libraries all over the country to empower the educational system and provide more resources to support learning and teaching throughout the communities; help ease reading and motivate learners.
Our Objectives
Some of our objectives at Hope for Children and Families of the World, Inc. include:
Meeting Basic Needs. Many children and families in Haiti have no access to basic necessities such as food, clean water, clothing, shelter, and education. We are here to provide access to these things in the communities that we serve.
- Equal Employment. We help gifted children, women, and men all get equal employment opportunities. We help them find job opportunities that match their skills, knowledge, and interests.
- Counseling Support. Haiti is prone to natural calamities, such as the 2010 Haiti Earthquake and Hurricane Matthew in 2016 which has caused hundreds of thousands of casualties, orphans, and people in need. One of our objectives is to provide Haitians with access to professional counseling and spiritual support provided by volunteer pastors, psychologists, and other mental health professionals.
